Hayley Humiston is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing counseling and social-emotional learning services to students at Hebrew Academy of the Capital District. She utilizes a holistic approach that stems from existential and strengths-based psychotherapy, integrating DBT techniques and strategies for executive dysfunction and social skills. She completed her clinical internship at JFS, providing counseling and SEL programs at HACD and Camp Givah. Outside of JFS, Hayley works in private practice with children, adolescents, and adults seeking support with anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, and ASD.
Hayley earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of Saint Rose and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. Throughout her career, Hayley has provided skills-based programs to clients across the lifespan in school and adult-education settings, and has coordinated program research/implementation promoting women’s leadership in Washington, DC and abroad.
