Lisa joined JFS in 2013, taking part-time position so she could spend more time with her family. Prior to JFS, she worked as a substitute teacher in several districts and as an aide and permanent substitute teacher at Hebrew Academy of the Capital District. Lisa also taught Hebrew School at Ohav Shalom for three years. Before teaching, she worked for several years in different capacities for various doctors’ offices and St. Peters Hospital’s Emergency Department. She had moved to Albany in 1987 as an intern in Lighting Design and Arts Accessibility at the Empire State Institute for the Performing Arts (ESIPA at the Egg).
Lisa has a Master’s in Elementary Education from Sage College in Troy and a Bachelor’s from SUNY Brockport in Technical. In her free time Lisa enjoys reading cookbooks, baking challah and cookies, watching movies, hiking, biking, taking long walks and playing games with her family.
