Salah Harris is an entrepreneur, mentor, and community advocate with a passion for local history and civic engagement. His professional journey began at Albany City Hall in the Human Resources Department, followed by an internship with Senator Schumer’s local office and involvement with the Capital District YMCA as an alumnus of the Achievers Program.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, Salah joined the Office of the Mayor in the City of Albany as a Constituent Service Assistant, where he gained a deep appreciation for the role of government in serving its residents. He later transitioned to a transformative role as Business Development and Operations Associate for author and speaker Shawn Rochester, whose mentorship significantly shaped Salah’s career trajectory.
Inspired by these experiences, Salah began facilitating youth programs with his mentor “Batman” at The Red Bookshelf, which sparked his entrepreneurial journey. He went on to launch his first company, Career InTouch, followed by S&S Capitol Consulting. In between these ventures, Salah worked in recruitment with the SEAT Center, further refining his professional focus and preparing for his next chapter.
