This isn’t a Sci Fi movie. This is real. Do you have an email account or a Facebook profile? Do you pay bills online, have an account with Amazon.com or do banking online? What will happen to these accounts after you are gone? Is there a designated person who knows your online accounts, username, passwords, etc.? What about your spouse’s online accounts? We never used to think about this, but with the popularity of the internet and doing electronic transactions, it’s important to consider how your digital accounts are managed/closed during a serious illness or when you are no longer in a position to manage these accounts.
The May Breakfast Club welcomes back Kim Verner, Esq. who has over 16 years of legal experience with practice expertise in elder law, special needs planning and estate and tax planning. Kim will explain the importance of planning ahead for your digital death and answer questions about how to best manage your online accounts.
