Regular exercise strengthens the body and is a proven stress reducer. You don’t need to be an Olympic athlete to participate in our NNORC Walking Group. Just lace up those sneakers and join your friends for some gentle, but effective exercise. Later, choose a yoga class that’s right for you to help work out those “kinks” and drink in some well-deserved relaxation.
Walk at your own pace as you breathe in the morning air. Dress for the weather and comfort.

PLACE: We will meet in the St. Sophia’s Parking Lot for a one-mile round trip walk on Whitehall Rd.

Dust off your sneakers—The NNORC Walkers are out walking. Join your friends and neighbors each Monday (weather permitting) for a gentle, self-paced walk along the Whitehall Road area.
Wear clothing comfortable for movement, weather-friendly and good footwear. Bring a water bottle.
We will leave the St. Sophia’s parking lot (440 Whitehall Road, Albany) promptly at 4:00 pm., walk to the JCC and return to St. Sophia’s. That’s one mile.
Come with us, breathe the air, stretch your winter stiff body, and enjoy some exercise and good company.  Walking is the perfect way to distress through movement.
