Mustard seeds are an important spice in many regional foods and can come from one of three different plants: black mustard, brown mustard, or white mustard. Grinding and mixing the seeds with water, vinegar or other liquids creates the condiment known as prepared mustard. They are a rich source of oil and protein.
In this Cook the Book, we cooking with mustard seed. What will you choose to make? Please feel free to bring food to share, if you feel comfortable. Let us know if you need a sample of mustard seed and we’ll drop some off to you.
