Cindy Tapper-Peralta

Clinical Intern

Cindy Tapper-Peralta is a clinical intern at JFS and second-year MSW student at Roberts Wesleyan University.  Most recently, she worked as a Case Manager in an affordable housing community for older adults.

Before transitioning to social work, Cindy spent more than 10 years in nonprofit fundraising in Chicago and Albany.  She also holds a master’s degree in Public Service Management from DePaul University and bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Gerontology from St. Bonaventure University.

Cindy’s clinical interests include helping adults navigate life transitions, identity, grief, and changing roles, with particular interests in women’s experiences across adulthood and supporting older adults through aging and loss.

Outside of social work, Cindy enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, playground hopping, kayaking, and spoiling her cat, Teddy.
