As a NNORC Community Nurse Educator, Susan supports residents through home visits, educational programs, and blood pressure clinics. Susan joined the JFS Albany NNORC in 2023 after a long and varied nursing career. In the past, she worked in Ambulatory Surgery, providing post-op care for Albany Med Health Systems. She also worked as a nurse in long term care as well as Psychiatric Nursing. In addition to having a long career as a nurse, Susan studied Poetry/Bibliotherapy and conducted support groups using memoir and personal narrative. She also completed a Bereavement Counseling program at Maria College.
In her free time, Susan continues to enjoy writing poetry as well as enjoying her garden. She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her puppies, Leo and Barbie.
