This group is for middle- and high-school students experiencing frustration with being stuck at home. We’ll talk about what it’s like being trapped with your family full-time, missing your friends, the loss of end-of-school-year activities, and other stressors.

Facilitated by the JFS Senior Resource Network team, this group is for older adults to discuss Aging Information and Resources and other timely issues. We will address staying connected when you feel disconnected, coping with the barrage of changes and realities that impact your life, maintaining safety in your home, preserving healthy habits and self-care, and more.

Your safety is our priority.
During this time, our staff will also be working to develop and offer programming and support via telephone and online. More on that in the coming days as well.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
We ask that all members of our community be conscious of recommended guidelines:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds. Use hand sanitizer if soap/water is not available.
  • Take care of yourself if you are sick. Stay home to avoid spreading to others or call your doctor for further consultation.
  • Avoid touching your face, particularly your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Avoid physical greetings like hugs, kisses, and handshakes. A smile goes a long way!
  • If possible, cough and sneeze into a disposable tissue and the discard it. Use your elbow only if you need to.
  • Avoid communal food where people help themselves, such as a buffet.

For the first time since the inception of the Census, the 2020 Census can be completed online. Respondents will receive an Official Census Bureau invitation by mail containing a personalized code with detailed information on how to respond to the 2020 Census online. While the initial invitation will ask respondents to complete the Census online, the Census can be completed in four different ways: online, over the phone, in person, or via mail-in form. This one-time meeting is designed to answer your questions, as well as address any concerns you have regarding privacy, cybersecurity, and ease of access when it comes to filling out the 2020 Census.
